Opening Night of Places I’ve Been.
On the evening of March 1, 2024, Pour Jon’s Coffee in Siloam Springs was absolutely packed from 7-9:30 pm. Although this was one of the first shows done by JBU students off-campus, we were incredibly blessed to have such a massive turnout of students, friends, family, and community members come to experience our work. Some were tearful as they walked through the exhibition, some were smiling as they remembered their own experiences, and many were having conversations with one another. Ashlyn, Lauren, and I talked about how the reaction from the crowd was exactly as we had hoped, and were blessed to see our work resonate with others.
After the Evening
Thanks to the incredible Pour Jon’s staff, we were also permitted to keep our work up during the entire month of March. Not only did we get to share our work with the community on March 1, but a huge pocket of the Siloam Springs community is going to get to experience our work at the most popular town coffee shop and breakfast spot. I’ve loved getting to watch people I don’t know experience my work as I sit in my favorite booth doing homework. Here’s a little glimpse of “Places I’ve Been” in the daylight.
